10 Reasons to attend the #HashnodeBootcamp
Hey there! I am Audrey I write code and I am really passionate about community work. Let's chat. Fluent in English and French.
A #Bootcamp is a program that equips attendees with knowledge in a particular area. Bootcamps can be free or paid, in any case, it's a life-changing experience.
As an attendee of Hashnode Bootcamp, I would like to share 10 reasons why I think you should attend it too.
It's completely free
People who attend Bootcamp are generally job hunters, career switchers or skill upgraders if you fall into any of these categories, I am happy to inform you that you will not have to pay a dime for the Bootcamp. Let your bank account breathe and enjoy the free and high-quality content being shared.
It runs for a short period
I am an engineer who runs a community at the same time so when I saw that the Bootcamp lasted only five (5) days and it was from Monday to Friday, that was a win for me. I could come up with a strategy that would help me get the best out of the Bootcamp without burning out. It was one of the main reasons why I joined in the first place.
The speaker lineup is amazing
Now, the speaker lineup was the main reason why I joined the Bootcamp. Ok, as a huge fan of YK ( CS Dojo on YouTube ), I could not miss the opportunity the watch him deliver a session live on a topic that is so dear to my heart. But I must say, I became a fan of the other speakers too because the content was top-notch.
It starts on time
Time is the most valuable asset one can have. As I always say it's the only thing that has been equally shared in this world, we all have 24 hours regardless of who we are. And, in a world where there is so much to learn and do, shout out to the Hashnode team for always starting on time. I am super grateful.
It focuses on specific topics
As an aspiring DevRel, I learned so much from personal branding to technical writing, AI in technical writing and software development, how to find job opportunities, remote job opportunities, designing for better developer experience, social media strategies for community management etc... you can follow me on X ( formerly Twitter ) to see what I have learnt.
Learn new things
Before the Bootcamp, I did not have strategies on how to keep a community active on a particular platform but now I do. Also, I did not know the importance of having a concise bio, a clear profile picture or a banner for my social but now I do. As I am writing this blog, I am planning to take a new headshot.
You can win a gift box from Hashnode
Who does not like gifts? Well, Hashnode is aware that we do and at the end of the Bootcamp some people are going to be lucky winners of the gift box, I wish all attendees the best in winning the gift box.
Connect with like-minded people
One of the biggest benefits of attending a #Bootcamp for me is the networking aspect of it. Networking opens so many doors and where else is the best place to find people with common interests if not a Bootcamp? Today I am happy to say that I have more friends than before and getting their perspectives on this common topic helps me to learn more.
Get your questions answered
Asking questions has been by far the best way to learn a subject. And during the Bootcamp, you can ask experts in the subject your questions and get an answer. Also, do not worry if your questions are not answered during the live session, all you have to do is get the handles of the speakers and ask on the respective platforms and you will get your answer.
Learn more about Hashnode
I used to hear about Hashnode and how fantastic this platform is for bloggers but never got the opportunity to write here. The Bootcamp did open my eyes to how easy it is to write here and this is my first article - cheers to me. I also learned how to use Rix to take my writing skills to the next level so Hashnode, here I come.
If you have made it to the end of this article, I would like to say thank you.
Today is the last day of the Bootcamp and per this article, you can imagine how I am excited I am for the last day. I would also encourage you to follow Hashnode on X, YouTube and every other media to stay up to date with their news and if you are attending the Bootcamp, see you in a bit.
Special thanks to Kunal Kushwaha for sharing the link on X, following got me here.
